Description

The NIHR Clinical Research Network Eastern helps to increase the chances for patients to take part in clinical research and makes sure that studies are efficient. We make sure that clinical research has the place it deserves in the day-to-day work of the NHS. We have patient and public involvement managers who work to get patient feedback and ideas which can improve how we work.

Public involvement in research

The Network has helped to develop patient research ambassador posts in many of the hospitals in the East. These are volunteers who help patients find out more about research and improve how we communicate about research. We carry our surveys with patients who are involved in research and make changes based on what you tell us. The CRN holds regular events to share up to date information with patients about research in the local area. We also hold PPI training session for staff and patients.
